i got this for ghost hunting and its a great tool, it is awesome,if your a hunter and thinking about getting this go for it
Not my old Olympus recorder January 28, 2008

No more time limits. No more tape flips. No more tape breaks. No more tapes !!No more cobbled PC cables to transfer info to my computer. I haven't used it much yet, but it seems to do a fantastic job, and it cost about what my Olympus Micro 37 cost over 10 years ago.

When I bought this model,it was on sale ($43 something). So considering the price and the function of the voice recorder,I would recommend you to buy it. I always put it right next the lecturer,so the recording quality has been excellent. It's also very easy to transfer the record to your PC. The buttons are simple to use. There's a "hold" key (also serves as the off key) which prevents the recorder from being accidentally turned on.

The Olympus Digital Voice recorder VN-4100PC is even smaller than I had thought possible! I have not used it yet (the intended use of the recorder is for an interview I will be doing in April); however, from the initial try out, it seems to work fine and do what I need for it to do. The size and weight certainly make it very easy to transport in my pocket. Very handy.

this product has been a salvation for my classes. It works just fine. Had to download an upgrade 'cause with my vista notebook it didn't launch. the rest, just fine.
An inconvenient it's the size of the files. a 2 hour recording on XHQ it's over 80 MB!!!
If you ask me, i would tell you to buy it! :)
