Great phone April 22, 2008 Mariann Brownson (murray. ky) The phone is a classic - I like the emergency buttons, lighted console, and the programmable feature for instant dialing.
Programming has to be done speedily, but a good phone, even with DSL! April 18, 2008 Bonita Kale (Cleveland, OH, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have DSL, and this phone has presented no problem. I did have trouble programming it; seems to me you have to move your fingers at a pretty good clip to get it to memorize the number. (No time to pause and check numbers as you go.) Instructions from other reviewers were helpful, more helpful than the booklet that came with the phone. Cheap, convenient.
Good cheap phone, but the cord is too short April 13, 2008 R. Sakala 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Got this phone for all our power outages that we have. Can't use those cordless during those times. Unfortunately people call when our local grid goes out all the time, when most the area stays on, and they can't get through. It's a back up phone. The sound is a little tinney, but hey, its inexpensive. But the cord is just too short imo. You really have to stay or sit right next to the phone b/c of its length.
Works fine as a wall-mounted phone March 22, 2008 Smart Shopper in CA 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this specifically to wall mount it in a confined space. You must adjust the plastic thing-y that holds the handset onto the base when mounted vertically so it doesn't fall off the hook. The instruction manual tells you: "To install the telephone on a wall jack, you must reverse a small tab beneath the directory card. This tab holds the handset in place when you hang up." Voila!
NOT A WALL PHONE!!! February 26, 2008 Leah B. (Boston, MA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I feel like I should yell this out. In my home, we have a very basic wall phone. This phone seemed to fit the bill. However, when I hooked it to my wall, the receiver would not stay connected to the base. Therefore, my phone was off the hook constantly. Not a wall phone, desk phone...would be perfect.
