I have been wanting a new phone for a while and have been looking at the DECT technology in particular. I was at BJ's today and found this set for 129.99..no kidding..SIX handsets. So, I snatched it up and came home (then only to read the great reviews of this phone type..much to my relief). I have not used it much yet (I've been home about two hours), but set-up was A BREEZE. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that the directory is stored in the base, not the handsets, so when info is entered into one, it's in them all. This was not available on my last expandable phones which is such a major pain. The two calls I've made to my husband were clear as a bell using the handset speakerphone. I have not tested range yet. The handsets are sleek and pretty, and now they're all over my house. My one tiny disappointment is that the base does not have speakerphone. There have been rare instances where when I'm cooking and have my hands all messy that I find it easiest to press the speakerphone button on the base rather than have to remove a handset from the cradle (if it's there!) and then press the button. Somehow, I'll survive, but you can get it sooo much cheaper at BJ's.
