Amazon.com Product Description The AT&T 993 Corded 2-Line Speakerphone is perfect for a small business that needs a telephone that supports two lines. You can make and receive calls by using the keypad and Speakerphone in the base station. The phone's three-party conferencing lets you conduct business with three people conversing together on three different lines. Automatic line selection means that when the phone is ringing and you pick up, you will be connected to the one that is ringing. You can also set up different ringtones for each of the lines. A large display provides easy-to-read text for setup and caller information. The phone has a 100-entry memory and a 99-name-and-number caller ID history. Numbers stored in the caller ID history can be dialed directly; and with call waiting-capable caller ID, you can see who is calling even when you are already on the line. If you subscribe to a voicemail service, a red light blinks when you have voicemail waiting. For hands-free operation, the 2.5-millimeter jacks lets you connect a headset.

Excellent 2-Line Phone Value August 15, 2008 I just received the AT&T 993 from Amazon. This phone is such a bargain for the price Amazon charges, I would buy three more if only the phone was available in white. (My wife would beat me if I bought any more black phones.) I just bought a Cortelco 2-Line WHITE phone for almost two and a half times as much. The AT&T is so much better, it's amazing. The Cortelco speaker phone is almost useless and the "back lit" display is barely illuminated. The AT&T does everything right and costs 40% as much. If you need a 2-line phone and you don't mind black, buy the 993. You won't be sorry.
Nice Features but --- August 10, 2008 ATT 993 corded phone has nice features. However unlike most wireless phones, the address book functions are not intuitive or convienent to use.
AT&T model 993 August 9, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this phone from this site through a dealer. The phone is used in a professional office and many of its' features would have been helpful. It has been about four months since I began to use it. The ringer has stopped working. The clock runs about 10 minutes fast each day. The message light stays on even after messages have been retrieved. The data port has never worked and the loud keypad noise when dialing is annoying with no way to lower the volume. I would not purchase another AT&T product based on the poor purformance of this phone.
Great 2-line phone August 2, 2008 I've been through a string of mediocre or worse two-line phones. Finally I did the reseach and found the AT&T 993. It has every feature I wanted and it is a well-built phone. It's great. Now I can stop looking for a phone! Oh, and it looks good, too.
Disappointing product from AT&T August 1, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Very disappointed in this product. I have had multiple AT&T and Lucent Technology phones over the years, with 2-line phones and tape and digital answering systems. This product is misleading -- description says "2-line corded speakerphone with digital answering". Not until I received it did I realize digital answering only worked if you subscribe to this from the phone company, which I don't want for these 2 lines. Menu's are also very difficult to scroll thru/use -- not ease of use like other phones. I agree with all the negatives on the other postings -- not being able to adjust the volume control, not easy to view caller ID, etc etc etc
I am sending this one back.
