Great scanner September 3, 2008 Nancy J. Davis When I received this scanner I hooked it up to Windows Vista. It worked beautifully the first time. I had read reviews to not buy it for Vista but I didn't have any problems at all. Very easy to set up and I was using it immediately. I get excellent copies. The only bad thing I can say is that sometimes I don't get a full bed scan. It seems to be after I have rescanned the item at a different resolution. I would recommend this product.
HP Scanner September 2, 2008 Robert Ramser (NEW KENSINGTON, PA) After entering program, could not use because it could not be initialized so after several hours of total frustration including time with an HP agent, sent it bak for refund. not a friendly scanner. aare they all like this?

Scanner arrived timely. I followed the hook up directions (after reading them through once). Scanner is working perfectly. Can't ask for more than that.
Wish this worked June 7, 2008 Ann Marie Poremba 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm sure this is probably a really good scanner IF IT WORKED WITH WINDOWS VISTA. I had a prior HP model and I loved it. I was very disappointed when I ordered this scanner and it said it was certified for Windows Vista and YET IT DIDN'T WORK. After many hours on the phone with HP they basically said "Send it back" because it just doesn't work with Windows Vista. My review is not to shed a bad light on an HP product...this is definitely a MICROSOFT ISSUE!!! Hope this helps someone before they go and order it and have to return it like I did.
1st Scanner May 30, 2008 Judy Chan (California USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As an artist I purchased the ScanJet to scan my art slides. In order to get nice definition I have to set the pixels at 600 and it takes FOREVER to scan one slide. It is going to take an ETERNITY for me to scan hundreds of slides. However, the scanned slides I've done so far are beautiful.
