Use it on a new computer, forget it. September 24, 2008 Jonathan M. Ruth When this was working on my one computer, it was fine. But put it on another computer, forget it! It can't reassociate. What a waste of money.
new style Targus wireless presenter with curser control September 13, 2008 Robert A. Mead (Birmingham, Alabama) In my 35+ years of A/V work, this has to be the most poorly designed remote I have ever encountered. Aside from being bulky and having a somewhat bulky usb reciever and visible gaps between its plastic sides, it was overly complicated with an awkward switch that made you select between the curser and mouse modes, which makes the mouse mode effectively useless in front of 100 people, and to top it off, if you accidently press the advance button with the top laser button, it knocks the computer out of slideshow mode, and then you have a real problem. I wouldn't use one of these if it was free.
Wireless Presentations August 3, 2008 Beverly E. Van Citters (Glendale, CA USA) Excellent product---when I present--I always have this on hand so that I do not have to depend on the a-v capability of others....add it to any computer and you are ready for that important powerpoint presentation. Love that the laser pointer is included.
What happened to Targus April 30, 2008 Elizabeth Garrett (Atlanta, Georgia) I'm a long time Targus user, so when I decided to upgrade my company's inventory of old wireless presenters I went back to my trusty Targus and ordered the 06 model. Out of the 5 I've ordered, only 1 has ever connected. The site says it's compatible for some older OS like 2000, but oh no. A Windows 2000 comp won't even recognize it. And to top it all off, it doesn't even come with a USB extender like the older models. Customer support answer -- I MUST be doing it wrong, all the time, with every single one. The sleekness and extra buttons (FN 5) does NOT make up for unreliability.
Comfortable and easy to use March 11, 2008 Ryan (Woodland, California, USA) The look is sleek and the feel is comfortable. Unless you're not near the computer, the mouse function is too slow to use for someone with my patience. It's like using a wireless mouse that's losing battery and is not very responsive (I guess it is a wireless mouse!). Using it to go back and forth through presentation is a breeze. I do recommend.
