I got this unit mostly as a small LED light to always have with me and for occasionally using the laser pointer. It does this job well. The LED light is bright and spreads nicely for reading in dark rooms. The laser does it's job. The two, raised buttons are easy to find by feel. I also like the fact that this model takes standard AA batteries. The weight, 48 g (1.7 oz), is a little more than I would like. (The lightest I found was the PhotonTM Executive Laser Card at 28 g (1.0 oz), but it uses watch batteries.) The fit and finish of this unit are pretty good. The buttons and batteries rattle a bit. All in all this light does its job well.
