Product Description Apollo Ventura 4000 Portable Overhead Projector offers advanced styling, features and performance, plus ultra-portability at just 8 lb. The cutting edge, contemporary design delivers the big picture with style. Its more than 2,000 lumens of brightness are ideal for projecting most transparencies. The protective hardshell cover includes molded handle, fold-down arm and internal storage for power cord and transparencies. Three-element vari-focal lens gives a sharper focus and picture clarity. Lamp changer with two lamps prevents delays. Oversized stage allows projecting in landscape or portrait formats. Stage size is 11-1/4" x 11-1/4".

Pricey but works well May 31, 2008 Christian J. Moore (Chicago, IL USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My seminar company employs instructors that still prefer overheads to digital projectors, unfortunately. We've tried many, many different kinds and have purchased dozens in our search for one that works well. So far, the Apollo 4000 has been the most reliable portable unit we could find. We've only had one over-heat issue on a unit that had been in service for almost 4 weeks each month, 3 to 6 hours daily, for almost 15 months. Not bad when renting one costs $40 to $80 per day. We've purchased 4 of these so far and they last roughly 2 years with heavy, heavy usage. Bulbs are purchased through a specialty bulb shop online to save $ as we go through those pretty fast!
Beware:Lens Shattered/Lens&Lights Not Warrantied October 18, 2004 Linda L. Belleville 57 out of 57 found this review helpful
First time/10 minutes into a presentation, the projector's lamp exploded, showering hot shards of broken glass in a wide area around the machine. Pieces dented the reflective Fresnel lens/stage below. Claims to have a safety thermal cut-off switch. Beware: Claims life-time warranty on the specs/box/publicity but the actual warranty in the box reads: "failure due to defects in material or worksmanship to OTHER THAN lamp, lens or mirrors."
