Refurbished P-Touch Label Printer a Winner November 22, 2008 Douglas E. Mitchell (Austin, TX USA) I'm not going to be a heavy user of the label printer, but what I have done to this point has been very impressive. There have been no jams and the print is pristine.
Quite good for what it is. November 16, 2008 David Lewis (Dallas TX) First, the pros: We got one of these to help with addressing envelopes, labeling file folders, etc. and it does a great job there. I even label my homebrew beer bottles for gift purposes. For the as-needed labels that come one at a time, it's great. The downside is the software. It's proprietary, and we couldn't get our address books or other databases to migrate and print properly. The labels themselves don't have any third-party generic equivalents, but the cost is small when you consider the refurb price and the fact you have to type in onesies.
Neat little unit November 12, 2008 Sandra K. Sys (Sawyer, ND) At the price I paid for this refurbished unit I figured I couldn't go wrong. It is just a neat little unit. Haven't used it much yet but am very happy with what I have seen. I am using it with a Mac, with OS 10.5.5. Software CD did not work, you have to download from the Brother website.
Way good labelers November 2, 2008 Dorbel Tweeter (Burnsville NC USA) These are fantastic labelers, I have bought about 6 or 7 of them, so I can have each loaded with a different size labeler. Hooked them up to a four-port USB network print sharing device, so they can be accessed from any computer. Got three of these refurbed for $18.xx each - came with manual, CD, etc., and a FULL roll of mailing labels -- whereas you only get a smallish starter roll with the new retail box item. Wish I had bought more of the refurbs while they were available - they sold out quickly.
Good luck with refurbished items November 2, 2008 Richard Hughes (West Hartford, CT) Very nice item for the price and because it was from amazon the service was good.
