Regardint the Opteka HD(tm) Slide Copier for DMC-fz18(K and S), I suggest you attach this unit while the camera is on only. Turning the camera off retracts the lens. This copier is attached to that lens. I worry that damage will result to the camera when the lens is held in place instead of being allowed to retract.
