The Ricoh Aficio SP C221SF is an exceptional network-ready multifunction laser printer, or MFP, that does it all. The SP C221SF prints proposals, reports, Web content and whatever else you throw at it in sharp black & white or vivid color, at resolutions of up to 2400 x 600 dpi. The first page of the day is out of the printer in only 14 seconds, and the rest of your pages are printed--black & white, and color--at a rate of 21 pages per minute. The C221SF also features a standard 35-sheet automatic document feeder and 250-page document feeder with a one-sheet bypass tray keeps your workflow moving. For easy sharing of hardcopy documents, the SP C221SF offers full-color and black & white scanning. Scan documents with resolutions of up to up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, or convert scanned files to editable text. Black & white pages can be scanned in less than five seconds a page, while full-color pages can be completed in less than 10 seconds. You can also take advantage of the convenient "Scan To" features that allow you to distribute documents instantly. The SP C221SF's "Scan-To-Email" does not require a dedicated server or additional software, and you can upload files to a shared server or local drive with its "Scan-To-FTP" or "Scan-To-Folder" functionality. Great Machine for the Price November 25, 2008

I bought this multifunction color laser printer to replace 2 other machines in my small business. Since these days most printers are built to be disposable, I thought this would be a great machine to try for the price [...]. The footprint is fairly small when you consider it is a laser printer, fax machine, scanner and copier but very heavy. The machine is designed to be accessed from only one direction - the front. Unlike my previous color laser printer that I had to shift around to load the toner cartridges or get to the back to load the special paper, this Ricoh is designed to be used from the front only - no shifting it around to get to the section of the machine you need - and this includes replacement of the necessary internal components.
Set up was quick and easy. Got it working with my Mac right away (after downloading the current driver) and the print quality - so far - is fantastic. The automatic duplexing is a dream and works so much better than my older color laser. I have experimented with glossy brochure paper, glossy product labels, as well as plain paper and the quality is phenomenal for the price of this little work horse. The pages print fast and the noise decibel level is quite low although the "pitch" of the machine when it starts up takes some getting used to. The fax part required very little set up for it to work and seems to work great thus far. I have not tried to use the scan function yet but I'm quite confident it will work great.
I'm very happy with this machine.
