Graduate school December 1, 2008 M. H. Smith (Atlantic Beach FL USA) This is a beautifully made and operating product that I have not had the time to test all of it's capabilities. Like so many electronic products making their appearance, each generation is progressively more complex than the previous to the point that, at times, they beome cumbersome and hard to use. By the time the user gets to be ninety years old, simply inserting a piece of paper and giving the knob on the platten a spin and then typing would be a blessing.
Fantastic printer! December 1, 2008 Pete C (Atlanta, GA USA) I have had this printer for a year now and haven't had a single issue with it. It's fast, prints with excellent quality, and scans perfectly. Copier and fax work perfectly as well. I have rarely been so happy with a product as I am with this so I felt the need to post a review. I printed my wedding programs on this thing and they turned out wonderfully. Also, I have used this printer heavily on a daily basis and again, not a single issue. What more praise can you give a printer? Buy it. The negative reviews must have gotten lemons.
Fast printing and scanning... Very good product! November 26, 2008 Javier U. (Elmhurst, NY) I was looking for price more than anything else and I've found a great deal on this printer. This is a "I can do everything" printer. Real good on scanning pictures, also the software does all the editing for you and crops the picture to the optimal size. Even if you have a lot at once. Just put the pictures one by one pressing the scan button and the printer does the job saving the files in the folder with the name you wanted in a numerical order, like a digital camera. I've also use it to make copies of my documents (bills, paystubs, etc.) to PDF files for backup and it is so efective with the document feeder and so fast, even if you have to do both sides of the page. Printing pictures in different paper types (glossy, matte) also very fast. Also connected the printer in my router so I can share it wireless. I am very happy with it, very good choice.
Canon Multifunction printer November 25, 2008 Jo Green This is my second Canon and I really like all the features. The only think I'm not kean about is the paper loading function. It does not have the usual paper tray and I'm unable to load as much paper in at a time, but it's so easy to use and consistently my pages come out clearly.
Good value for the money November 23, 2008 Robert Prosperino (Brewster, NY USA) We bought the MX700 to replace an aging Canon MP50 (that had served us well for several years). It's been up and running for a several weeks with no issues. Setup was pretty easy, I initially had it connected via USB to my PC, but then bought an ethernet cable to connect it to my wireless router. Now I'm able to print wirelessly from my laptop. The software install was straightforward. Print quality is solid. Speed is fine, but we are light users, only printing one or a couple of pages at a time. We send out the occasional fax, make the occasional copy, and don't really scan that much. I would recommend this for home users that need a reasonably priced printer/copier/fax.
