It's ridiculous for an Epson printer not to recognize its own ink cartridges (i.e. to be more exact, the microchip on each Epson cartridge). 2 of the 6 ink cartridges that came with the RX680 printer could not be recognized. "Error: Ink cartridges cannot be recognized." Multiple attempts of re-seating the cartridges, dry-wiping the metal contacts (both on the cartridges and on the printer), shaking the cartridges, and power-cycling the printer still did not make the error go away. It makes me think twice on paying in excess of $100 for a set of Epson microchipped ink cartridges that could be faulty. It's ironic that the "premium" (i.e.my money) that goes to the Epson microchips brought about this very unsatisfying user experience.

This printer has multi-function. It's a regular color/bw printer, as well as a scanner. And it prints beautifully directly onto a CD, which is what I was looking for. Good, quality machine. And it has a great black, sleek look - looks great in my office. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it!!

I own this AIO printer for quite a few months now. Use it a lot for photo printing. Pix quality is out of this world when done on Epson 5 star photopaper. Love my RX-680 and recomend it to everyone.

This is my 3rd Epson printer and I think it is the best yet.
I switched to an HP after 2 Epson printers and I don't remember why. I do know that after 2 days of use, I returned the HP and bought this.
I was nervous about sending away for it because of the reviews I had read here. Luckily, I had no problems at all.
I bought it direct from Epson and I've used it for over 6 months. I think the photos are fantastic and I do not use Epson paper. I use Kodak paper for photos and I have had no problems. I print a lot and I think the ink lasts a long time. I highly recommend this printer to anyone who wants great photo prints and who wants a printer for general everyday use.

The first printer ordered had an interna hardware issue that could not be fixed. After contacting Epson I was sent a new one straight from them at no charge. Second printer works like a charm. Scanning, Copying and Printing all awsome quality. I haven't printed from my memory card or a cd yet, but I dont forsee any troubles there. I would reccomend this printer to anyone.
