Good printer so far! November 16, 2008 Robert Schin Shipping was prompt and the printer works well with only two minor issues so far: a wireless setup error and a bad paper jam. Printed pages are very clear!
Worthy Workhorse November 13, 2008 C. Lister Thomas (Mobile, AL) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
After one month of almost continuous use, this unit has held its own. Print quality is very good and consistently so, and overall operations are quite simple. I have not done much photographic printing as yet, but if performance so far is any indication, that too should be a breeze. This is a very good machine. I recommend it highly.
Will never buy another HP printer again! Mac compatible. November 11, 2008 K. Deutsch (Iowa City) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is my third Canon printer that I've purchased to replace all my HP's. In general, the Canon's ink is much cheaper, last longer and the build quality is much better. My last HP, which btw is in the trash was purchased last December foR $350. The wireless function never worked correctly. When the touchpad display finally quit working I lost my temper and threw it from our 2nd story window. It was a wonderful site watching it take to the air and than seeing and hearing the destruction when it hit the pavement, a burden had suddenly been lifted from my shoulders. Back to the subject, the wireless feature is a little cryptic to set up for the 1st time but once it's done, it works great.
Won't download to my Vista November 8, 2008 Sharon (NJ, USA) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
A little over a week ago I bought the MP620 all-in-one printer. I have spent over 15 hours trying to get this to download to my 32bit Dell XPS410 Vista OS. I have had 4 lengthy emails with Canon, a 1hr 40min phone call with Canon and a 1hr 30 min phone call with Dell where the technician had remote access to my computer in an attempt to get it to download. Through all of this no one could figure out how to get the print driver to install. The error message says the the .INF file that it is looking for isn't correct. I have had an Epson printer and Epson scanner working on this same computer so I guess I am going to return the MP620 today and stick with Epson. I feel very defeated.
Pixma MP620. OK for 220V ??? November 2, 2008 RUcrAZ (PATRA, Greece) 0 out of 7 found this review helpful
Bought a US Canon Pixma MP620 for use in EU. The (internal) power supply info, molded onto the machine, gives two conflicting pieces of information: "100V 50/60 cycles" and on a separate line below it: "100-240V 50/60 cycles." I would like to use it directly with the EU 230V 50 Cycle. Because of the conflicting info, I'm using a 220-110V transformer. Is it safe to eliminate the transformer, and plug into the 230V directly?
