An Excellent Unit, Especially for the Price August 28, 2008

I'm slightly hard of hearing, and the huge advantage of this device is that the earpiece has a little snout that actually sticks right into your ear canal. I never have any trouble hearing with this unit, and for me it works much better than other units that just put the sound next to your ear rather than inside it.
The microphone is sensitive and works well indoors and in an automobile. It does not do well in windy settings, which is typical for most Bluetooth units. It charges fairly quickly and the charge lasts a surprisingly long time. An AC charger comes with the unit, and both USB and auto charger cords are available from Plantronics.
The only reason I have not given it five stars instead of four is that some aspects of its construction leave a bit to be desired. Bluetooth headsets are subject to abuse and handling, and I thought this one could have been improved in that regard. The hinge pin for the ear clip has a tendency to work its way out of position, and must be manually pressed back into place from time to time. Also, the ear "snout" eventually came detached from the first of these units that I bought, and I had to order a replacement because it's not at all obvious how to put the snout back on.
But the fact that I ordered a replacement, rather than getting something else, should speak for the fact that this is a nice little unit. The price is certainly reasonable.
I should add that my replacement unit came with no instructions. Luckily I was able to locate a PDF file online to remind me how to synchronize it with my cell phone, and of course I already knew a lot about operating it from the first one I had.
