I purchased the Lexmark x6570 hastily late at night when my longtime printer finally quit on me. The store I was at did not have a great selection of printers but the thing that drew me to the Lexmark x6570 was its WiFi function.
Setup of the printer was simple. Thankfully, Lexmark packages all that you need to use the printer out of the box (including color and B&W cartridges, a fax line cord and a USB cable). If you have a wireless router, you will only need to the USB cable long enough to configure the printer on the wireless router. Once the printer is configured, the printer is available on your wireless network and is available even if the host computer is turned off.
Print quality was very good as the printer handles all types of media well. The auto duplexer allows for double-sided printing and works well. The printer also has slots for Flash, MMC, SD and other data cards as well as a USB 2.0 port which allows for printing from a USB 2.0 drive without using the host computer.
Very early in my ownership of the x6570, the printer stop feeding paper and claimed there was a paper jam when there was no paper jam (just think of the movie "Office Space" if you are curious about my frustration). I was able to chat live with Lexmark technical assistance. After attempting to effect a fix, Lexmark concluded the unit was defective and immediately shipped out a new printer the very next day.
