Scanfront 200p October 24, 2007 Luke Carter (Georgia) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I hooked this up to a domain controller. It took about 40 minutes of playing with the network settings, but finally it worked well. Scans fast and fully customizable. A great asset for businesses that need a cheap adf scanner. I am giving 4 stars for the amount of time it took.
a horrible experience October 9, 2007 Isaac Fischer (sacramento, ca United States) 2 out of 10 found this review helpful
This may well be a five star product, but I'm giving it a one star rating. I recieved the item fairly quickly from Amazon, unpacked it, and attempted to hook it up directly to my p.c. This doesn't appear to be possible, or at least easy, as it was set up to be hooked up directly to a network or thumbdrive. I called technical support for Canon products in Virginia and the first representative (who worked in the scanner dept.) told me she didn't even know what a Scanfront was. I hung up, called back, and got another representative. He nicely informed me that Canon doesn't support this product and that I would have to deal directly with the retailer (Amazon). As much as I love Amazon, I know for a fact they are not going to be able to help me resolve any technical problems with this scanner. I will promptly be returning this one to them and I expect a full refund. I will never purchase any Canon products again. I already have a Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner, and it works fine. I just thought this one would be better. I guess not...
