Great printer. Easy storage. Catridges a little pricey. September 12, 2008 J. Powell (New York, NY United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3GIE38BK4D4EW This little printer is great, and I think it is pretty quick, considering the quality. Every time I walk into a Pharmacy that has one of those photo printers, it's usually broken, and I can't get the prints I want conveniently. This thing is good to have around for when you want some prints. While not shown in my video, the white edges are perforated, and come off of the print, leaving you with a traditional 4x6 size, with postcard markings on the reverse side. The unit also has a built in cord, if you'd rather connect directly to PictBridge or Direct Print compatible camera. It's easiest to simply use a memory stick or SD card.
Absolutely beautiful pictures September 7, 2008 Travelling Granny (Sacramento, CA USA) After struggling with an older photo printer that never really had a good picture I was totally delighted with the pictures from my Selphy. I couldn't have expected clearer, more precise pictures from my old 35 millimeter camera (developed and printed at the drug store). I was also pleased with the fact that the picture prices, when the paper and ink costs were factored in, were very reasonable. The only drawback is the size but if you want larger photos there are always the machines at the local drug store.
Great compact photo printer August 25, 2008 T. Cornish (Huntington Beach, CA) Nice and compact, excellent quality! With over 40 in use, we've had no problems, great little photo printer.
Needed some fine tuning. August 14, 2008 Nicholas Clay (Sacramento, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I picked this little printer up at best buy for a mere 39.99 and for the price my expectations were not sky high. I got home, set it up, fired up Adobe Lightroom and started printing. At first i chose a picture that was taken at night indoors in low light with flash, as soon as it finished (around 45 seconds) i was sorely disappointed. The picture was VERY dark, i picked it up and compared it to my monitor and threw it in the trash. I then proceeded to print a very bright picture of a sunflower taken in full light, again, very very dark, trash. So i called Canon after being unable to find a fix online. May i say that the persons at canon really need to at least act like they know exactly what they are talking about. As soon as a said the format was RAW... i could only picture the guy on the other end of the line scratching his head. Their fix was to print from the windows printing application instead of using a third party program such as lightroom. So after fooling with the saturation and brightness in the properties menu for the printer and avoiding lightroom i was able to get some fairly decent prints. The material quality from the prints is top notch and with some fooling around it is very possible to get some decent prints from this little machine. ** Does not come with a printer cable, what printer does these days? ** Comes WITH a 5 photo cartridge and 5 4x6 photo papers. ** A 108 photo kit goes for 25 bucks in-store so thats 23.15 cents per photo. Stop the stupid reviews people, im sick of people getting DSLRS and giving them two stars because the movie feature isnt very good. Argh.
Excellent quality August 1, 2008 Linda Muirhead (Netcong, NJ) This little printer was the easiest one I have ever bought or used. The value is great when you compare printing prices.
