For the price this works great! October 19, 2007 Kelly Carlson (PNW) In HQ mode it picks up conversation VERY well and is easy to use. You can spend a LOT more than these, but if 5 hours is enough time these will work great and cost little.
Handy recorder! July 14, 2007 Donna, MP3 MOM (Briarcliff Manor, New York USA) I love this recoder because its small and easy to operate.my 10yr old daughter likes it too for messages. we even used it for recorded her school concert! (the only problem it seems to have it uses up batterylife very quickly!) great price!
Best stand-alone digital recorder for the money June 12, 2007 Blak Slax (Los Angeles, CA) While you can record your voice with any number of electronic gadgets theses days - from your phone to your PDA - the Olympus VN2100 is far superior to most "do everything" devices. With a small form-factor, easy to use controls and simple file structure, the VN2100 is the best tool I've found for saving those important sonic moments. The recorded files are clear, bright and the playback volume is strikingly impressive. Five-star quality, five-star sound and a five-star value. I highly recommend the Olympus VN2100.
Nice Recorder June 8, 2007 harry12 (Florida) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
. This recorder does exactly what the 'Product Description' states. The 'high quality' recording mode is excellent. I use it to record short, structured meetings. If there are five or six concurrent conversations, forget it. Using ALL rechargable batteries I can't state anything about alkaline battery life. The file transfer-to-PC time is real time. I would have preferred a faster file transfer but knew what I was purchasing. All-in-all a quite decent little recorder. .
It serves the purpose! May 17, 2007 Karen Cook (Seattle, WA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've only had this little guy for a couple of months, but I have tested it in various settings, with varying levels of background noise and it works like a charm in all of them. It's easy to use, relatively intuitive, is lightweight and I haven't had an issue with it yet!
