Product Description Tough FELLOWES POWERSHRED paper shredder engineered for small business office or home use. A persons identity is stolen every six seconds in the U.S. The news media continues to warn . . . protect against increasing identity theft . . . "the fastest growing white color crime in America" (Federal Trade Commission, March 29, 2002 press release). High security confetti cut (5/32" x 1 3/8") renders documents and credit cards unreadable. Shreds up to 8 sheets at a time including staples and small paper clips. Convenient pull out bin.

Decent Home Shredder February 20, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
While I can't confirm the model number, the photo on Amazon looks identical to my Fellowes DM8C crosscut shredder. I paid about $[...] for mine at Costco over 1 year ago, I've been using it regularly. I treat it well (no overfeeding)and keep the cutters clear of accumulated waste in the bin. So far so good. No significant problems to speak of and the unit works as advertised with paper and credit cards. My only complaint is that the crosscut could be shorter. It has a decent sized waste bin, but the longish pieces stack up in the bin quickly. I smash the bits down by hand to keep the mound out of the cutter blades, but shorter confetti pieces would not pile up so quickly. If I ever buy another one I'll probably get one that makes smaller pieces and eats cd's as well.
