Customer Reviews: a good choice for home security May 11, 2008 I used this DVR for a year and was pretty happy with it.This dvr has the capabilities of really adding a lot of options other than cameras.You can put magnetic sensors on doors & windows and run it through this. You can also hook up a external siren which would activate as well. I just upgraded to a computer controlled system because i was looking for more features.The 1304NET has a lot to offer. With a 250gb hard drive i was getting 3 weeks of recording so i was happy with that.I also like having the USB port on the front for plugging in a pen drive to transfer over video to my other computer for editing.This is an ironhorse of a reciever and will last a long time.It also nice to have the remote control for when your in a another room so you can apply the options at a distance.
