4 out of 5 stars Nice GPS   March 18, 2010

Nice GPS with lots of features that works well. But, as with any GPS in the mountains of TN don't rely on it entirley to get you where you want to go.

Bought it on [...] for [...] with lifetime maps and traffic.

Pros

- Traffic has been accurate in my area
- Speaker is adequate
- FM radio broadcast works well
- Touch screen is responsive after satellite lock
- Routing works well
- Have always liked the Garmin UI and support

Cons

- Not crazy about the commercials though small in size

5 out of 5 stars Completely satisfied with my purchase of Nuvi 765t   March 18, 2010
James Heath (Cleveland, OH USA)
Pros:
Having read the reviews, I was resigned to the fact that my Tracfone phone wasn't compatible with bluetooth on this, and was considering the 755 as an alternative. I had a special email price given, so pulled the trigger on the 765t anyway, as it was less than the 755. Got it set up, and tried the bluetooth connection to my phone, and was very pleasantly surprised that it is compatible!

I also bought this for the MP3 player, and contrary to many reviews, the FM transmitter works perfectly for me. Maybe people just can't get an empty station, but I tested it in my house as well and was a couple rooms away from my home stereo, and it still came in clearly.

Cons:
Only negative for me is the touch-screen sensitivity, but it's such an inconsequential point.

5 out of 5 stars Garmin Nuvi 765T   March 18, 2010

Prompt delivery and works as expected. Glad I didn't buy it when they were $600.

3 out of 5 stars Not an improvement over my nuvi 250w.   March 17, 2010
D. Stone (M'boro TN United States)
The voice is tinny sounding and garbled. Pronunciation of street names are way off, laughable at times (what did she say?!). The routing it suggests has just been awful. Doesn't seem to be up to date with current roads. I do like the moving map just for when I want to see where I am in the world, but that can be accomplished with a lesser model. Lastly, the thing posts advertisements -- "coupons" for local restaurants, merchants, etc. I suppose that they sponsor the free traffic updates? I personally find the ads annoying and intrusive. I'm sticking with my older 250w.
