The Cobra MC 600Ci Marine Chartplotter GPS Navigation System comes preloaded with a detailed base map that includes major rivers, lakes and roads worldwide, and even coastal navigation to entrance buoys for worldwide destinations. More importantly, this chartplotter is ready to expand to your needs, and is compatible with C-Map's NT Max C-Cards and C-Map's Max Lake C-Cards. The Max C-Cards includes detailed charts with advanced features, such as dynamic navaids, tides and currents, embedded photographs, and more. The Max Lakes C-Card is perfect for inland fishing in the United States. These digital maps included aerial lake images, fishing regulations, hunting regulations, lake features, fish images and descriptions, roads, boat ramps, national parks, interest points and shaded depth areas. Last but not least, you can add the Cobra MR 2500 Black Box Fishfinder and turn the MC 600Ci into a fully functional fishfinder device. Even if you decide against the additional C-Maps, you'll be pleased with the clarity of the six-inch color TFT display with anti-reflective coating that delivers complete visibility in even the brightest sunlight conditions. You can view charts and maps in the traditional top-down mode or in the increasingly popular 3D mode. No matter where or when you're navigating, this chartplotter delivers a clean image day or night with "Sunlight" and "NightWatch" modes. The backlighting and colors used in the display can be easily set for either condition. Installation is a breeze with the built-in GPS antenna; there's no cumbersome external antenna. However, it is important to note that flush mounting is not an option with this model. This chartplotter includes a tilt and swivel mounting bracket that allows for flexible mounting options and clear viewing from almost any angle. Once you've installed the 600Ci, you'll be surprised by the fast GPS position locking and retention delivered via the 12-channel WAAS GPS with IASAP. This technology is impervious to many of the typical barriers associated with GPS navigation in a marine environment. Equipped with NMEA 0183 (in and out), this chartplotter easily interfaces with autopilot, DSC radios, and all other NMEA compliant instruments. Are you planning on using the 600Ci for water skiing, performance boating, cruising or fishing? If tracking speed is an important aspect of your marine navigation, then you'll be pleased with the analog style speedometer feature. And, as you'd expect with a high-quality marine chartplotter, the 600Ci meets the IPX7 specifications and is submersible in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. Other features include a host of customizable alarms to meet any boaters needs, such as anchor drag, arrival, off-course, proximity, depth, and more. This GPS can also be connected to a typical piezo alarm that will increase the volume of the internal alarm. Packed with 1000 waypoints, 50 routes, and 50 points you can get from here to there with ease, and you can even retrace your path using 10 trails for different trips. For ease of navigation, the 600Ci can record 10,000 track points and you can specify up to 16 color options to differentiate the trips. Love it! It does everything well. Easy to use. You will have to purchase C-Map card. I found the C-Map NT Plus for about 175.00 and it covers the whole of the east coast. I can't say enough good about it.
