Product Description Meet the Crucial Gizmo! Jr. the smallest USB flash drive yet. It's only about half the size of a stick of gum, but it offers huge storage potential. The Gizmo! Jr. easily fits on a key chain, in a wallet, or neatly tucked away in your USB port. Plus, it's ReadyBoost compliant. If you're ready for the next big idea in memory, think small. Think Gizmo! Jr.

Small size, short life October 21, 2008 Dane Falkner (Utah, USA) I purchased this device and loved its small size, but it is a little difficult to figure out the correct way to insert it. I loved it while it lasted, but it only lasted a week before it completely died. I kept it on my car key ring and didn't submit it to anything harsher then my pocket so there is no real explanation of why it should crap out so quickly. I will try another device. I don't trust my valuable data to this cheap gizmo.
Did not work. Dead on Arrival May 29, 2008 R. Oruganti 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought the Gizmo for it's size and based on the good reviews. Despite knowing that it was small, I was still surprised at how small it was! It is definitely puny. But, it did not work. I tried many computers before deciding that it was a bad part. Too bad. Will not buy Crucial and waste my time again.
Bare Bones April 17, 2008 Spud (Los Angeles, CA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
The major appeal of this gizmo is its ultra tiny size and feathery weight, which you can hardly tell from Amazon's product picture. It measures 2.2 mm thick, 12.4 mm wide, and 34.3 mm long. It weighs 1.6 g or .057 ounces (not 1.6 ounces as listed by Amazon). Performance is decent but there is nothing to brag about. Crucial Technology does not publish the drive's read/write speed. It took 3 minutes 10 seconds to copy 8 files totaling around 1 GB from my laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad x60 tablet, core duo/Windows XP) to this drive. For comparison, it took 2 minutes 35 seconds to copy the same files to a PNY 2 GB Attache flash drive and 50 seconds to a Seagate 120 GB External Hard Drive with 8 MB Cache. Instead of a hard protective case, this drive comes with a flimsy, soft plastic sleeve, which does not provide adequate protection against scratches if you place it in a keychain.
Small enough to carry in your wallet November 28, 2007 Jeffrey B. Stewart (Pittsburgh, PA USA) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
It's small enough to keep in your wallet. If you think about it, you carry a wide variety of crucial things in your wallet. If you were running out of the house in the middle of the night when the house burned, what would you grab? Probably pants, which might just have your wallet and keys. What data would you want to have with you after a fire? Create an encrypted volume on this little guy (try Truecrypt. It's free and it works wonderfully). Carry those files with you on an encrypted volume on this device in your wallet. This is a standard USB device. Doesn't look like it, I know. But you just plug it straight into the USB port. No drivers, no mess. Biggest risk? Losing it. It's very small. But that's its biggest asset, too.
Great USB flash drive June 10, 2007 G. Alvarado (Costa Rica) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this flash drive since it was one of the smallest in the world and from a good maker (Crucial Technology). Pros: Its fast Easy to carry everywhere Readyboost ready Cons: Very small so keep an eye on it so you dont loose it. Case is great but again be carefull because its transparent and easy to loose. The blue letters can get weared away. It is the best USB flash drive Ive owned and trust me, you wont regret buying it.
