1 out of 5 stars something went wrong   March 16, 2010
Fern Bunde (Thompson)
I was pleased with getting my order on time, but not sure if the ink froze or what but now my Kodak printer dock no longer works. THe one ink just like melted to the picture and now I"m without a printer and really miss it. Sorry sure wish I knew what happen.

4 out of 5 stars Good At-Home Photo Printing   January 3, 2010

The photos print up nicely. With my photo printer it takes about 40 seconds for each one to print. Its awesome to have your photos immediately- no need to send out film or go to a drug store to print them.

The cartridge can be a little cumbersome to load, especially if the slack of the ribbon cartridge is loose. Take care when loading to make sure that the ribbon doesn't catch. At times the cartridge may send a message to the photo printer that it won't print. After troubleshooting (making sure that you don't need to load a new cartridge), try rolling back the ribbon. I don't know why but at times my ribbon has jumped ahead and I've had to do this. The pictures will then print out fine.

Be aware, however, that yellows, greens, and reds have tendencies to not be true to color. For example, if you intend on printing pictures of lots of yellow flowers (such as mums) they will come out like yellow blobs. You may need to make adjustments with your camera settings. Reds may print out orangy.

This photo kit is expensive and the kits sell the photo paper and cartridges as sets, which is nice. The 200 photo kit is the better value than the 50.

5 out of 5 stars Let's spend less for the same product   July 19, 2009

This is exactly the same box product that I used to buy from the big discount store in my area. Only for me, it is cheaper. I live in a small town, and it is nice to have things delivered so I don't have to drive to the city. I have found that after a drive to the city, the discount store may not have exactly what I want.

1 out of 5 stars don't buy kodak, unless you like beating your head off the wall   May 24, 2009

seller was quick and the cheapest i found. now on to the product.
i've had this printer dock for about a year and half. we never used the print function, except with the 5 sample sheets that came with the dock. out of those 5, one turned out. so fast forward to about a month ago, i decided to finally get the 200 pack (best value to me) of kodak ink/paper.
when i put the new ink cartridge in, it got stuck. it wouldn't print and i couldn't get the ink cart out to mess with it. after contacting kodak about it, they told me to try several steps to free the ink cart. none worked. so they told me i could send the dock/printer to them and for $90usd they would fix it. almost the price for a new one to fix what has never worked from day one. i had printed one picture on it. so i was stuck w/ the ink and paper ($60).
i did remedy the problem. i used two screwdrivers to remove the tab that holds the cartridge then i slowly worked out the ink cart. i then plugged it back into the pc w/o the ink, let it reset, then put the ink back in. no longer having the tab to hold in the ink i now have a screwdriver wedged to hold it in. i also have to hand feed each 4x6 sheet as the auto feed tray has never once worked. the results are some very marginal looking pics. if i need to print pics after i run out of this paper/ink kit, i'll be doing it on my hp as it prints great pics.
bottom line, stay away from kodak. after 3 digi cams and 2 cam docks, i'm switching to anyone but kodak.

5 out of 5 stars Kodak Picture Paper   January 14, 2009
Dale Baker (New York)
The company that I ordered this from was the least expensive that I could find. Packaging was great and the delivery time was more than satisfactory. The paper was new condition and everything went very very well.
