Power Mac G4 Quick Silver 933 November 8, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After spending years with PCs, I had the opportunity to purchase the G4 933 quicksilver. Now I was under the same impression that everyone else in the PC world was...that Macs are a lot slower than PCs. Afterall look at the processor numbers 933 mhz verses 3 gig hz. Well folks...I was wrong...way wrong... Before this 933 I owned a P4 3 ghz with hyperthreading and vista premium. This 933 is just all out faster performing any computing activity. Its easier to get use to than a PC and did I mention its faster. On the internet, it beats the PC hands down. and guess what...No more anoying security updates everytime you log on to the internet. No more popup screens asking for approval with every task you would like to perform (I always hated those, just when you think your PC has locked up you see the stupid "confirm" screen)
After being a PC user and builder since 1988 I was attached to MS but no more I have sold all my PC junk and completely switched to OSX Tiger. And let me mention this...networking is a breeze (dont need a degree in networking to understand the system).
I now have two of these machines and they are working like a charm. If you have ever considered buying a Mac, get one of these, you wont regret the purchase. You will find yourself working and not playing around with settings and setups all the time...imagine that actually working with your computer... not downloading some fix or security update or worried about some virus... just using the computer and enjoying it. See ya MS I'm free And nope Apple did not pay me for my opinion its just the plain truth
