5 out of 5 stars another success for Crucial   June 11, 2008
Bought 2 of them as i only have 2 slots and wanted 2gb in my HP dv8408us laptop. Easy install of course and works fine. Effective product from a good company. About 1/3 the price of memory from HP (made by Samsung). I recommend this product and this company.

1 out of 5 stars Doesn't fit   April 23, 2008
I returned this because it physically did not fit my laptop. Tolerances were off slightly, which made a difference.

5 out of 5 stars This Sodimm is so bright!   March 21, 2008

The Crucial 1 GB DDR2-667 Sodimm memory chip does just what it's supposed to do. It easily snapped right in to my Asus EEE PC and instantly boosted my RAM capacity. No hassles, no problems. I love when stuff "just works." This is a trustworthy product at a decent price. Bravo.

5 out of 5 stars A few curious discrepancies but apparently of no consequence. (Push, then push some more.)   March 17, 2008
Installing one of these in your empty iMac slot and thereby doubling your memory is still a no-expense no-brainer operation, accomplished more quickly and easily than doubling the memory of a Macbook. The only tool needed is a small Phillips screwdriver.

Since ordering this memory module, I notice that Amazon is no longer offering it as an Amazon Prime item. Also, although the Mac manual calls for a PC2-5300 compliant module and Amazon's pictured product is listed as such, the Crucial module that I received is marked PC2-6300. I decided to shrug it off as an improvement.

Installation took 10 minutes, longer than necessary because even after I felt and heard the reassuring click announcing the board was securely in place, it wasn't flush with the other board, extending too far out, in fact, for the cover to be screwed back on. Cause for a momentary sinking feeling, but not to worry. Even though the board seems set in place, try "muscling" it just a bit more. It'll resist but soon should yield just enough to be even with the other, in-place board. Now simply screw the cover back on (a single screw). You should observe love at first sight: the two modules becoming inseparable, mutually supportive buddies.

5 out of 5 stars JohnRInstant response from Crucial   February 10, 2008
Got an immediate e-mail fro Crucial that they had received the order and another when they shipped. I installed the memory and worked fine. I emailed a question to Crucial and got a same day response. Great service.
