Product Description
The next leap forward for InFocus mobile projectors is here: the Work Big IN15. Based upon the sleek IN12 platform, the new IN15 hosts features which appeal to the most discerning mobile professional. Traveling with this lean sub-4 pound projector is effortless with the breathtakingly slim 1.69" height! Anyone can neatly pack the laptop-friendly IN15 in a briefcase and hit the road in style. The Work Big IN15 represents the new school of thought for portable projection; maintain outstanding performance while enabling easy transportation. It's not just about compact size any more, but about how well a projector is engineered to pack away and be ready to present at a moment's notice. The IN15 is less than half the total size (in area) than the average meeting room projector and packs equal power. Also the IN15 is about the same thickness as the latest "thin-and-light" laptop computers, which means the IN15 takes up the same space in your briefcase as a few file folders.Developed around DLP chipset technology with XGA resolution the IN15 boasts high display performance in a unique, travel-friendly package. The standard lamp has been dramatically reduced in size and outputs a staggering 2500 lumens with a rich 1800:1 contrast ratio. Superb images are then funneled through an extremely compact lens set which features a 2.0x zoom and motorized, remote-controlled focus and zoom control - allowing for large, crisp pictures in any size room. Additionally, the automatic keystone correction will tune the projected image to a perfect rectangle every time without any fussing with internal menus.A glance at the back panel of the IN15 reveals a tight, efficient array of connectivity options. A widely supported high-resolution VGA input enables laptop and desktop projection without downscaling. In combination with the composite video input the IN15 will showcases a digital camera, camcorder, DVD player or any other video source with ultimate simplicity.

5 out of 5 stars Portable & automatic   May 12, 2008
Size: Same as the small Sony Vaio 11.1" screen computers but a bit thicker. Projector fits into my attache case carry-on bag next to my small Sony Vaio computer.

Keystone is automatic. The projector senses the lift angle and compensates. The projection is perfectly rectangular. My previous projector often showed a trapezoid picture.

The cable is VGA/VGA not VGA/DVI so if a a wire breaks in the cable (resulting is a yellow, blue, etc. picture), you can easily find a replacement.

Flip-up lens cover. When you are switching shows, you can hide your work and cover the projection with the lens cover. Nice.

TSA. Due to the shape, airport Security will assume the projector is a computer and require it be separately screened. So, you will have to remove it from your carry-on bag for screening with your computer.

The projector has more lumens than comparable units and runs hot; the lamp is rated at just 2,000 hours.

I am an author on speaking tours. I fly more than 6,000 miles/week. I appreciate a projector that is reliable, low volume, low weight and sets up quickly.

Sexy. This projector will turn heads.

4 out of 5 stars Plenty of performance in a thin package   March 1, 2008

This projector is superb in brightness and flexibility given the extra range in zoom. We use it in ECO mode and find it plenty bright even with the windows unshaded in midday. It is great for iphoto, presentations, & quicktime given the higher res than many sub $1000 projectors. Good color and looks great even projected on a white wall. It has a mini D-sub (RGB) cable and a video connector, so nothing fancy. The only thing is it is somewhat noisy, but when there is action and the volume is pleasurably loud it isn't noticeable much. The remote is intuitive, as is the menu/options. It is a sleek, thin machine. I would give it 4.5/5 stars.
