Total piece of crap! February 5, 2006 Sarah A. Welch (Douglas, Wyoming United States) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
If I could rate this lower than one I would. Looks like something that would have been able to pass in the 70s. Can't seen anything but the moon with the telescope and only the things on the slides with the microscope. Take the $39 and put it toward a decent set for your child and save him or her a ton of tears!
It came defective, very disappointed. August 2, 2005 Mother of 4 (Edmond, OK) 36 out of 36 found this review helpful
My mother-in-law was so excited to get this for my son. He loved it. He was so interested in trying to do experiments. But the microscope light was broken when we got it, we tried two new sets of batteries and it would never work. then we were all excited to try the telescope and my husband tried to get it to focus but a gear is stripped and we could never get it to work. It came defective and I am afraid even if it didn't it would still be broke before we even got to use it. Too Bad you pay 40 dollars for something and it falls apart. Thanks MEADE.
Made very poorly December 29, 2004 H. Ogden (Draper, Utah USA) 47 out of 47 found this review helpful
My son received this set for christmas 2004. Three pieces broke the first time he used it. It is made of very cheap plastic and although we were being careful, it broke. The tripod on the telescope makes it very difficult to look at anything because you can not make it stay at very many angles. Needless to say we returned it and are currently looking for something better made.
