Product Description * Splash protected dry top * Covered purge valve
Amazon.com Product Description Speedo's recreational series of masks and snorkels is a great choice for the occasional ocean snorkler or for pool use. The nearly indestructible polycarbonate lens is treated with Speedo's exclusive Anti-fog Max which ensures clear vision in all uses. The snorkel features a splash protected dry top and covered purge valve which makes it very dry and easy to clear. A high-density resin seal and Speed Fit headstrap system ensure both comfort and a great seal against any leaks. About Speedo In 1914, Speedo was founded in Australia by Alexander MacRae, a 22-year-old Scottish immigrant who arrived in the country in 1910. The company began when MacRae Hosiery manufacturers, established by Alexander in 1914, extended the manufacture of underwear to swimwear and became MacRae Knitting Mills. A naming competition was held by the staff in 1928 and won by a Captain Parsonson, who coined the slogan, "Speed on in your Speedos." In 1929, the first swimsuits were in production and it didn't take long for Speedo to successfully establish itself. World War II caused the brand turn over 90% of it's manufacturing to war production, providing the armed services with vital equipment such as mosquito nets. After the war, Speedo opened a new factory and was able to re-establish itself, due to increased demand for swimsuits. In 1951, Speedo Knitting Mills (Holdings) Ltd, was incorporated and became a publicly traded company on the Sydney Stock exchange. Speedo hit the international stage in earnest, at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, and a few years later the brand grew on a more global scale. Export sales to the USA began and an international division was set up to monitor trade in New Zealand, Japan and South Africa. The expansion of the brand continued, and in 1976, Speedo was appointed as the official swimwear for the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where 52 out of 54 countries wore their swimsuits. Speedo continues to make its mark in the pool and on the beach today. Many world class athletes who wear Speedo include U.S. phenomenon Michael Phelps, legendary Australian swimmer Grant Hackett, world record holder Kosuke Kitajima from Japan, and Holland's Inge de Bruijn.

Great August 13, 2008 I bought a pair of these snorkels. They are incredibly comfort and keep out the water.
Good Value August 11, 2008 This product has held up longer than the rest. I swim 3-4 times a week and it has lasted the summer. Others have not held up as well. Good value for the price.
Works great for basic snorkeling! July 10, 2008 We went snorkeling in a calm reef off Cozumel, and this set worked great. It was nice to use our own quality equipment rather than some cheap rental equipment. Another couple in our group didnt have snorkel gear so we would switch on and off using this set. We had no problem adjusting the mask each time. I didnt notice the set smelling funny, but it had been out of the box for a month or so before we used it. It took a little work to attach the snorkel tube to the mask, but no trouble really. I would recommend this set - its a great buy!
Great price, great product July 10, 2008 Bought this set for a trip to the Bahamas, and didn't have the time to try it out before we left so I just hoped it was a good mask. On the first snorkeling trip, I jumped in the water and no worries. Everything was perfect.
Liked it so much I ordered 5! July 9, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After reading the feedback, I originally only bought 2 snorkels. After receiving the initial 2 and trying them out, I bought 3 more! The reviewers are right about the smell - just make sure you air out the snorkels for a couple days before using them, then they don't smell at all. They're also right about the difficulty connecting the snorkel to the mask, but as long as you know that before hand, it relieves some of the frustration. Just remove one side of the strap from the mask, slide the snorkel on, and reattach the strap (that's the hard part that takes some patience and a little creativity). As for the mask size, these masks are not too small at all. I bought these masks for everyone in my family ranging from my 9 year old daughter to my husband, who has a large head. As long as you adjust the mask straps, the masks fit everyone just fine. The snorkels work fine and the masks don't fog up or leak - definitely a good product.
