Product Description The FE-310's ultra-compact lens is made from precision-crafted glass that puts you 60 percent closer than a 3x zoom. Face Detection tracks your subjects' faces within the frame and automatically focuses and optimizes exposure for sharp, brilliant portrait pictures. Digital Image Stabilization helps prevent camera shake and fast moving subjects from blurring your images. Get sharper images with high ISO and fast shutter speeds. Always get the best shot with 17 Shooting Modes. The preset Shooting Modes optimize your camera's settings for sharp, brilliant photos. Capture your fondest memories in full motion using AVI Movie with sound. Get superior image quality with a high-resolution 8-megapixel CCD. Make large prints, or even crop, without losing detail. 2.5" LCD provides easy composing, shooting and sharing of your images with friends and family. Using a live, multi-frame window on the LCD, Perfect Shot Preview lets you see the effects of exposure compensation before you shoot, so you can capture the perfect shot. The In-Camera Help Guides provide a brief description of camera settings and features, conveniently displayed on the LCD, at the push of a button. ok October 13, 2008 Cuicui Lu (Tulsa, OK, USA) I do not say the product is not good. Just I do not like it because it is too thick in shape and I do not like to change batteries too much.
Won't Work With Rechargable Batteries October 6, 2008 Michael Clouser (Fort Wayne, IN USA) Don't buy this camera!!! It will NOT work with NiMH batteries (the manual says it will work with NiMH) and it doesn't fully discharge alkaline batteries. I only got about 50 pictures on the included set of alkaline batteries. I also didn't think that the pictures were all that sharp, for a 8MP camera. The shutter response is very slow and the face recognition doesn't work until the face fills a large part of the screen. Overall this is a poor camera.
Good Buy September 30, 2008 Lu (Johnstown, PA USA) I purchased the FE-310 and think it is a good buy for the money. I am still learning how to use all the controls.
olympus September 20, 2008 Saul Melendrez (san diego,ca) beautiful camera one of the best i have nice pictures very very clear good zoom reduce red eye
Do not buy this camera! September 17, 2008 Karla Goddard (Charles City, IA) I bought this camera with such high hopes only to be crushed. It takes horrible pictures! I am accustomed to using a Cannon at work so when I saw this 8MP camera on sale at the local Radio Shack I jumped on it. It is the perfect size for me to throw into my purse and I had already a bunch of XD memory cards. Bad choice. It will not focus for me in the zoom position although I have read the instruction booklet and tried all of the suggestions. About the only way it will take a good picture is if you are outside, good lighting and you are not using the zoom function. I bought a loser camera. Do not make the same mistake that I did. The Cannon I use at work focuses in all lighting situations, takes good video and night time pictures. I should have spent the extra money to get it. I am sooooo sorry now. I gave it a decent amount of trying and they won't take the camera back because I have had it over 14 days. I hope this helps someone else out. I am out my money!
