Sunpak 6601D Tripod June 4, 2008 Jose R. Lopez (New Mexico) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very good value for this tripod. I am using it for multiple purposes. I have already tried it on all 3 with great success. I use it with our digital camera and we took a great family picture. The dvd video camera we have attaches easily and we took very good film of some softball games already, very steady and easy to set up. The third use is for my chronograph when working up handloads for my rifles and it works great especially with the levels. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone at this great price. The extra quick mount base is very convenient and it is left with the video camera so we always have it available at a moments notice.
Perfect for me May 29, 2008 Another Nature Lover (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As everyone else is saying, it's great for light use.. so in other words, if you aren't planing to use your tripod very often, it will do you fine. It's lightweight and easy to carry. It's a little shakey for heavy cameras though. My fiance used it for his medium format mamiya and it was a little top heavy. Use some light beanbag weights if you want to use it for a heavy camera.
Good for the price April 15, 2008 Timothy J. Burda (Schaumburg, IL) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product works for what it was intended to do, and that is hold the camera. It also comes with some nifty extras such as bubble level, spikes, and a place to hold a bag of rocks (for stability). If you are looking for a great buy, this is the product I recommend. If you are looking for professional grade, you might want to look elsewhere.
Solid budget tripod February 28, 2008 J. Wong (San Diego, CA) This is a good solid tripod for the money. Well worth it. It's not too heavy or flimsy. It's just right.
