Not very pleased!! October 6, 2008 Doug A. (Lyons, CO United States) The sound out of these wasn't a whole lot better than what my laptop was already putting out. I ended up buying Logitech's USB speakers, and they are VERY good. I would suggest another product over the Kensington speakers.
Kensington Laptop Speakers September 27, 2008 Charlotte J. Kerns (Annapolis, MD) These are nice speakers for the money. Pros: Compact size; decent sound, not symphonic by any stretch, but decent. I like the fact that I can now adjust my laptop audio volume by means of a dial on the speakers themselves without the need to go into my laptop's audio settings. That is a BIG plus. Cons: The LED display to indicate the speakers are on located on both wings of the speakers is incredibly bright. It reflects off the windows in the house and the TV and anything else reflective. I could probably use it as a night light :). A smaller less obtrusive display would have sufficed. All in all, I am pleased with these speakers.
Piece of Junk July 1, 2008 Alex J. Vallas (PA) This product is similar in quality to the free AM/FM radios that you often get as promotional gadgets. It is not even worth $1.00. My laptop PC is far superior in tone. Actually there is no comparison. The product was returned thanks to a very customer oriented distributor.
Convenient but underpowered March 28, 2008 Thomas W. Dunn (Central Square, NY) I recently purchased the Kensington 33130 laptop speaker as a gift for one of my daughters. They work well enough and are convenient to use and store, but no one should confuse this tiny speaker set with the real thing. The sound level is not very impressive and they sound tinny. If you want more than the simplest solution, go for something with a little more oomph.
Best Buy February 16, 2008 Addie Herring (columbus, NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these speakers for my laptop. They are USB hookup. They were so easy to hookup, and they sound great, now i can watch movies and have no problem listening. The price is a little high, i would still recommend this product. They don't take up any room on your desk, they fold open and then close when not using them, it also have a retractable cord so you can move your speakers around. When the speakers are on they omit a purple light, I love it great investment for me.
