The product is treated by the Nuvi as a USB-PC connector. This means that a picture of a PC shows up on the front panel rather than allowing the device to be used while being charged. Not so helpful for the car-charger version. I believe this is because the device is wired with a different configuration of the USB pin X than the Nuvi charger.
