Great Deal - Some Shortcuts February 14, 2008 This was a return item. The bad - no manual, no warranty information, screws missing from stand. The good - listed as minor blemishes - there were none - set was perfect. Downloaded manual from internet, bought screws at hardware stor and saved several hundred dollars on a great HDTV
Absolutely brilliant TV- I would buy it again 100 times February 13, 2008 I love everything about this TV! Color and resolution are fantastic. The depth of the blacks and contrast are terrific. The on-screen menus are very simple to use and set up is a breeze. Even the sound system is good- I love the fact that it has a 7-band graphic equalizer.
At the same time it has a lot of features, everything about this system is extraordinarily user friendly, right down to the slim universal remote.
I would buy this TV again 1,000 times! The picture is fantastic, it is packed with features, its plethora of input options makes it extraordinarily versatile, and it looks beautiful hanging on the wall even when turned off.
Kudos to Samsung!
Great Buy February 13, 2008 After researching for months, I decided on this Samsung hdtv. What a great buy. It was easy to hook up and easy to use. The picture looks amazing.
Big disappointment February 13, 2008 I read all the reviews on 32" LCD's and chose the Samsung 3253H. First let me say Amazon came through big time for us in the customer service department. They replaced not one but TWO defective units, no questions asked. Thank you Amazon! The good: great picture, great sound easy to set up. The bad: both units had the same problem that developed after a couple of weeks of light use. After being on for an hour or so the units would start to emit a high frequency whine. We tried everything to isolate the problem, all to no avail. The problem was in the TV. Samsung support and warranty was of no help, they had not a clue as to what was causing it, or at least that's what they said. The longer the unit was used the louder the whine would become. Some research on Google turned up references to this problem with several different manufactures,(common components?) not just Samsung. Some tech sites said it had something to do with high voltage transformers inside the TV overheating. Whatever the problem is we ended up sending both units back and moved on to a Sharp. Thanks again Amazon for the high level of support! It was a hassle but certainly not Amazon's fault.
Pretty Good February 13, 2008 With Hd tvs you need to get a hd box from your cable or satilite company or your pic is not that clear. When I got the tv the pic was not the best but after some adjustments it got better. But on mine after the tv is on for a while the tv makes this noise. The noise is like a long high pitch noise. Can hear it when the volume is low. It must be the something that produces the picture because when I mute the tv the noise still goes on but when i turn off the tv the noise stops. Other than that the tv is great, I got it on time, no problems with delivery, and i recommend that people also buy the warranty because something will go wrong later on in the future.
