all of the publishers get a cut of everything you read/buy & there is no paper involved? even the best ipod is cheaper. i don't get it? you can buy a computer cheaper....

I love my kindle. The only problem I have is that I have requested thru the amazon system to the purblishers to add books to the kindle system and I never get any reponse. I'm reading a series of books written by Patricia Cornwell and I can't get several of her books.

I HAVE HAD THE KINDLE FOR JUST OVER A MONTH AND LOVE IT. IT DOES EVERYTHING BUT MAKE DINNER. THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT IT IS NOT ILLUMINATED FROM BEHIND THE PAGE, HOPEFULLY, THE NEXT GENERATION OF KINDLE'S WILL HAVE LIGHT BEHIND THE PAGE.FOR PEOPLE WHO TAKE THEIR BOOKS WITH THEM, LOVE TO READ AND LIKE EASY ACCESS TO BOOKS - THIS IS THE WAY TO GO. I HAVE CANCELLED ALL OF MY BOOK CLUB MEMBERSHIPS BECAUSE ALL I HAVE TO DO IS GO INTO THE KINDLE STORE AND ORDER THE NEXT BOOK THAT I WANT TO READ - IN LESS THAN ONE MINUTE, I AM READING THAT BOOK! IT IS SO COOL WHEN IT IS THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND I FINISH ONE BOOK AND CAN THEN PURCHASE THE NEXT BOOK - FABULOUS!

I got a Kindle in Oct and mine worked great, all of a sudden it stopped working
So I was sent a replacement, that didn't work at all, no functions at all
So I was sent another replacement, that one didn't work either.
I have yet to get any tech support and I have dealth with a rude supervisor, Ray, and a rude customer service, Mariah.
others have tried to help but at this point I am tired of wasting my time

I must say that I LOVE this product!. At first I didn't know if I'd want another electronic book. But the ease of transfer via the whispernet make this a must for any reader. If I notice a book in the top ten, or noted on radio or T.V.,I can have the book in my device in seconds. Talk about instant satisfaction!
