5 out of 5 stars Review from a Teen   August 5, 2008

I just got the T10 in the mail today-it is SO awesome!!! The controls are easy to use, the sound quality is great, very stylish design. I have never owned an ipod but i can say that this is probably better than one! The feature that is the most fun is the play speed. You can make the songs go 1.3x faster or 0.8x slower. Me and my siblings were cracking up listening to our favorite songs as "chipmunks" (fast) or "evil guy" (slow). On the FM radio, the earphones are the anteannas, so you can't be laying on the ground or anything if you want to get a further-away station. Another thing I like is the presets on the FM radio-you can preset many different stations so you don't have to scroll through one by one. My pictures look great on the screen. But if you are a neat freak, the slick design does show fingerprints, the screen more so than the buttons. The firmware you can download is really neat. You can use the mic and headphones to talk on a Bluetooth phone, and you can input your name so it says "hello" when you turn it on. The battery charges fairly fast, but you have to have a USB port, no plugging into the wall. The software that comes with the T10 is very cool too. I haven't downloaded any videos yet, so I can't review that part. 5 stars!

4 out of 5 stars Good but It's no ipod   August 2, 2008

I gave the T10 a 4 star rating mostly because it is hard to get any video put on it in good quality. It also has a problem with the head phone jack it tends to wig out if it gets touched while head phones are in. the last thing I have found wrong with it is it will some times pause when it is on hold which gets really anoyning. Other than those things it works great it is a good product for the price but it is no ipod.

5 out of 5 stars A hard to find feature   July 31, 2008

A few days ago my beloved Samsung T9 bit the dust. A tragic tale of overheated soda and a slow acidic drip to my poor player's insides.
I'd purchased it over a year ago from Best Buy and gotten the replacement plan.
When I went back to replace it the T9 was no longer in production so I was allowed to select a replacement from the other players.
I initially passed on the T10 because it seemed cheap and unimpressive. Since I could afford the upgrade I grabbed the Sansa View.
I took it back two days later.
I listen to audiobooks and a lot of podcasts, many of them over an hour long.
I discovered that, except for the Zune and the ipod, no other player but the Samsung has a faster fast forward feature. Most players do, at best, eight seconds at a time or even worse than that!
The second time I tried to fast forward twenty minutes on the Sansa and sat there with my finger on a button for eight minutes, I decided that that was enough for me.
I'm now a very satisfied owner of a T10.
I do miss the bookmarking that the T9 had but I can't wait to play with the bluetooth thing.
Something that some reviews have missed is the audio recorder. Its not the best but, as I like to write sometimes, its nice to have the ability to, with a touch of a button, record the idea I just had.
A great little device.

5 out of 5 stars Great device, MP3, video, FM tuner, handsfree headset, etc.   July 29, 2008

My nephew wanted this device instead of an iPod Nano and he has really been enjoying it. He linked it up with his Bluetooth phone and has transferred his contacts and used the headset capability. While without a computer at home, he was able to fill it with some songs recorded off the radio/FM tuner. Upgrading the firmware added some functionality, such as the ability to delete songs from the device without having to hook up to a computer. When he comes over to load some music via the computer, we just hook it up to a machine with Vista Home, which doesn't require installation of the bundled software...it appears as a storage device. We are likely to order one for my mother-in-law, so he can help load it up with her music CDs for walking in the afternoon.

Looks and feels nice, but most computes don't recognze it. Doesn't work with XP, software provided (and updated online) cannot connect to handheld unit. Only one of my 6 computers can add music to it.

Don't waste you money or your time. Get something easier
