| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Panasonic has always been at the cutting edge of Blu-ray technology, but its latest range of players looks to push the boundaries even further. The DMP-BD60 is the entry-level player in the company's latest three-strong line-up - which also includes the step-up DMP-BD80 and the DMP-BD70V Blu-ray/VHS combi (no, really) - and the big breakthrough on these models is the inclusion of Viera Cast functionality, also found on the company's Z1, V10 and G15 NeoPDP TVs.

Great Products for Good Price March 19, 2010 H. Tsujino (Torrance, CA USA) Very happy with the product so far. We have the item for about a month. No issues so far. We have only played regular DVD but the picture quality is amazing compare to playing with DVD player.
Horrible Product, Even Worse Company and Costumer Service March 18, 2010 AJ (New Jersey) I purchased the DMP-BD60 Blu-ray disc player on December, 2009. Because of my hectic schedule I did not get to opening it until February 26th, 2010. From the moment I plugged it in this product did not work and a massage saying "Drive Error" showed up on the screen (Which I found out, after intensive research, is not uncommon).
After (a very hard time finding and) reading the instructions on how to mail an item back to Panasonic (It was still under the 1 year warranty), I mailed the item the very next day.
As of today (March 17, 2010) the status of my case is "awaiting parts".
So now, not only that I am getting a refurbished product after it NEVER worked, it's approaching a month since I mailed it and it is still "AWAITNG PARTS".
After many attempts by phone and emails no one at Panasonic seems to get back to me with an answer and/or solution to when my product will be back.
What a huge waste of my time, expanses and energy.
Great Player March 16, 2010 Randy (Hartford, WI USA) The only negative thing I can say about this player is that it is slow to turn on and off. I upgraded from a 1st generation DVD Player, so the slower times may be the norm and I just don't know any better? Other than that, it's a great player at a great price!
Panasonic Blue Ray DVD player March 16, 2010 Harold D. Jones (NC) The DVD player was a great value. The picture and sound quality are excellent. It seems user friendly, as well.
Panasonic DMP-BD60 March 15, 2010 Mark D. Conway (Seattle, WA) I am very pleased with this purchase. I was a little dubious about the upconversion claims so I put in a DVD copy of "Gettysberg" that I could not watch on my old DVD player because it was so dark. I put it in the BD60 and now it plays just fine. I just bought "Star Trek" on blu-ray and it looks fantastic. You will not regret investing in this blu-ray player.
