Amazon.com Product Description Designed to keep employees connected at a moment's notice, whether they're 50 feet or 5 miles away, the Motorola CLS1410 two-way radio is appropriate for a range of businesses, from theme parks to hotels to large retail restaurants. Functionality is simple: with the press of a button, users receive instant access to any compatible two-way radio on the same frequency, regardless of the manufacturer.
Take a closer look at the Motorola CLS1410's functions. | Companies can set up a one-to-one system, where only two people are on the same frequency, or they can create a group channel for large-scale communication. The radio's 56 UHF business-exclusive frequencies (FCC license required) ensure that users have access to clear signals without competing with hobbyists and other casual radio enthusiasts. Plus, the radio offers 38 analog and 83 digital interference eliminator codes for added clarity and privacy. Though the one-watt radio is often used in indoor retail environments, it's not restricted to up-close conversation, as its signal covers up to 200,000 square feet indoors (or 15 floors) or 5 miles outdoors, depending on the nearby terrain and weather conditions. Thanks to the wide broadcast range, the radio excels whether calling for backup during a tense security situation, radioing the front desk that a customer is upset, or checking with other servers on the status of an empty table. And the quicker that employees react to a disturbance or accident, the better for the customer. Employees will also appreciate the durable, lightweight design (just under 5 ounces), which is easy to carry and hold all day, yet is built to withstand frequent, long-term use. And should staffers need to call others without using their hands, such as while carrying luggage or crates, they can use the hands-free voice activation (VOX) feature, which includes three sensitivity levels (VOX requires the purchase of additional audio accessories, however). Additional features include your choice of several audible call tones, a VibraCall alert function, and a swivel belt holster that holds the radio comfortably around your waist. The CLS1410, which measures 2 x 4.1 x 1.1 inches (W x H x D), comes with a Lithium-ion battery and charges conveniently in an included drop-in charger. It's also backed by a one-year warranty. What's in the Box CLS1410 two-way radio, drop-in charger, Lithium-ion battery, radio holster, AC adapter, and user's manual.
Product Description The Motorola CLS1110 Business 2-way radio is design to give business a competitive edge with an easy-to-use wireless solution. The CLS allows employees to react quickly to requests and have instant access to one another. It offers 4-channel operation on 56 UHF business-exclusive frequencies and audible call tones and a VibraCall alert feature.

Motorola CLS140 May 20, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This radio is used in our warehouse/manufacturing facility. Plant wide we have around 20 in use for ~2+ years with no failures. They are a good radio for heavy use. The CLS1410 has 4 channels which is nice if you have different groups using radios.
Great but pricey January 4, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these for my company which runs large scale productions and runs a movie festival. They work great with the optional headsets, even in loud environments. I would give 5 stars but I feel like they are too expensive for what they are.
