This item was a total waste of $10.00 to $12.00. I was led to belive, by Amazon.com that I needed it. Whan purchasing the Cobra C-B Radio, Amazon reported most people that purchased the radio also purchased an antenna and this adaptor. The antenna was, of course needed, but the radio did not need this adaptor to hook antenna to the radio. I learned at my expense not to trust Amazon's recommendations. It would not be worth the effort and shipping to return this item, so I guess I will just throw it in a drawer.

I needed this adapter for my Cobra CB Radio remote antenna for the car. The unit which I purchased did not come with an adapter for the antenna. This one serves the purposes and works great.

it shipped fast but the extended hand held radio antenna already came with an adapter so now I just keep it as a spare one. Attention! if you are buying the cobra handheld cb extended antenna, It already comes with a adapter so don't waste your money on this. (don't listen to the Amazon recommend) that's what i did and now i have an extra adapter! If you are not sure if other antenna comes with it i recommend you to wait a little until your antenna arrived to see if it comes with an adapter.
i haven't use it yet. the reason i gave it 5 stars is because it is well built and shipped to my house fast, I'm from NYC, so different area might be takes longer.

Just what you need to connect an external antenna to a hand held CB for use in your car. Makes a huge dufferance from using the standard Rubber Duck antenna.
