The DVI plug did not fit the DVI port on my Dell 1905 Ultrasharp LCD Display. Therefore I returned the cable.

There are 4 types of DVI and pin confugurations are different on all
DVI-I single link
DVI-I dual link
DVI-D single link
and
DVI-D dual link

I thought DVI was DVI. But there is a apparently a pin difference in DVI cables.
