PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS LCD.
I can't believe that I really waste my money. I just have been using this as a photo frame and MP3 player not as a TV cause in my country Doesn't have the service, but anyway a Knowed that before have bougth the item, my surprise is that the device just went out, since last week showed the welcome window "Viore" and then don't show anything more, Even the MENU, just a black screem, I just have one option: PUT IT INTO THE WASTE BASKET, I won't retourn it from other country.

1 out of 5 stars BEWARE!!! - This unit cannot correctly display a standard 4:3 aspect ratio image!!!   June 20, 2010

BEWARE!!! This unit cannot correctly display a standard 4:3 aspect ratio image!!!

There are 4 display settings:

Widescreen - takes a standard 4:3 image and STRETCHES it to fit.

Cinema - appears to be the same as "Widescreen"

Normal - SQUEEZES a 4:3 image to a 1:1 aspect ratio (in other words, a square).

I can't remember the name of the fourth setting, but it is the only one that doesn't stretch or squeeze a standard television image. BUT, it crops off the top and bottom, so, for example, if you are watching CNN you can't see the crawls at the bottom of the screen.

This is a fatal design flaw. What idiotic designer would consider a 1:1 aspect ratio to be "Normal"? That setting should display a standard 4:3 image with black bars on the sides.

I bought the unit to use only as monitor connected to my digital cable system, so I can't evaluate the TV tuner or other functions.

ON TOP OF IT ALL, I emailed Viore technical support about this problem, asking whether I had missed something in the setup procedures. THEY NEVER RESPONDED!

As always, Amazon's return policy worked perfectly. Amazon should stop selling this lemon.

1 out of 5 stars Not happy with it!   June 10, 2010

The unit remains in the box, I got frustrated trying to get a picture!! Most TV's you plug it in, and voila, it plays, not this unit! I tried to read the instructions, but it was confusing so I called the manufacturer! She talked me thru the instruction, and Nasa engineers would have got frustrated with it! My intent was to return it, but decided I would give it as a gift to someone I don't like! I am a frequent Amazon customer, and this is my first negative purchase!

Don't even buy! Viore TV came and had a totally unacceptable scratched up screen. There is apparently no quality control with this item or it has been recycled. I gave it one star because I could not give it minus stars.

1 out of 5 stars No signal   May 29, 2010
Trina M. B. Curvelo (Venezuela)
There's no way this thing works!!!
Total waste of money, wish i didn't buy it...

When Air-Channels, it won't get any signal.
When Cable-Channels, it gets 4 or 5 out of 150...

DON'T BUY!!!
