I have one of the older Q1s so I can't say anything about compatibility with the new ultra ones but for the old ones this is great. Battery life is effectively doubled and I stopped using the external battery pack which I suspect hurt my older battery's life.
The only con is the size. It doesn't make the Q1 any harder to hold. It is actually better now to hold in portrait mode and it remains just as slim. The problem comes when you try to use a case that fit the Q1 very tightly. If you buy a case make sure it has enough room to take the larger footprint and if you buy a portfolio case make sure it's a recently designed one. The new ones have clips that can hold the Q1 in place even with the larger battery.
A good buy since it improves the Q1's performance as a companion device. If Samsung had included this instead of the 3 cell battery the Q1 might have had better reviews and they could have sold the 3 cell as an option for those wanting a smaller device.

This battery is not compatible with the new Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPC, only with the older models.
