I actually like this boombox, and it has worked well for me March 10, 2008 David Sevilla (el paso, TX United States) Maybe the other reviewers didn't get good items, but I found this item because I was actually looking to buy another one. I got two from officedepot and they both worked fine, though I gave one to my gf who gave it to her mom, so I don't know how much that one gets used, but mine gets used almost every day. I put my songs in a 4gb usb stick and put it in random. I have to do it every time I turn it on (it won't remember I put it in shuffle) but it's not the first mp3 players that I see doing this. I barely move it, so I haven't put it to any tortunre tests. The quality is fine (though not the best). For the price, I overall like it. It's still hard to find good cheap mp3 boomboxes, specially with usb port. btw.. I didn't give it 5 stars, because it's not as smart as many other mp3 players.
Doesn't Play CDs ~ Defective November 16, 2007 H. Ireland (Irvine, CA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product was not even worth the $29 we paid for it. It didn't play CD's easily from when we first opened the box. Then, CD's would skip and stop playing sporadically. Shortly after that, it stopped playing at all!!!!!!!!!!! BUYER BEWARE ~ don't even waste a penny on this.
USB function poorly implemented, CD broke after 4 months May 29, 2007 R. Singer (on the beach) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We bought this mainly for the USB function. We were hoping to put several albums on a USB flash card, 1/directory, and then be able to choose an album to play. Unfortunately, there is no way to control how many songs it plays. It will sequentially play all the songs on the flash card. The CD player broke after 4 months. I have never had a problem with a consumer electronic device before. They usually last too long. This one is very poorly constructed which is probably why they fall apart. Btw, the sound is poor even when it works - the speakers look ok but they are tinny and sound like they are inside a tunnel.
DO NOT BUY THIS PLAYER March 27, 2007 AMY BURGER DO NOT BUY THIS PLAYER. BOUGHT IT FOR CHRISTMAS AND IT DOES NOT WORK ALREADY. IT WILL NOT PLAY ANY CDS. ONLY OFFERS A 90 WARRANTY SO BASICALLY I AM OUT 30.00.
