The multi-award winning Cambridge Audio Azur 540C has been newly enhanced and updated as the brand spanking new Azur 540C v2. It employs an updated DAC in the form of the latest generation WM8740 24-bit / 192 kHz DAC from audiophile component manufacturer Wolfson.
The Azur 540C v2 also features proprietary data reclocking which reduces jitter to a minimum, a specially designed Cambridge Audio servo solution, and premium laser optics.
Also onboard the 540C v2 are a new toroidal transformer for lower noise and less waveform distortion, a revised LCD display, which offers two levels of brightness, and a highly ergonomic Navigator wireless remote control. And it's got multi-room features, too.
The 540C v2 won the coveted "Editors' Choice Award" in the October 2006 issue of The Absolute Sound magazine. "The 540C CD player sounds far more sophisticated and refined than any $439 machine has a right to?
