I got a bran-new one about 2 years ago and i was the happiest guy. it was a present that the minute i set up the parents were already cursing me out. only reason i had to get another because i attempted to hook up a different sub but didn't go as planned. This is the make of stereo you can take care of and depend on it to leave a ringing noise in your ears for years to come. i love it, and will never get rid of it. buy one and you will not regret it, for the price to quality ratio there is nothing out there better. Not even a bose can compare to this when you have a nice classical cd.
on the refurbished ones there is a bit of cosmetic goofs on speaker boxes but doesn't affect the quality of the system.

-Cheap
-Good over all sound
-Custom EQ on top of having preset EQs
CONS
-slight sound distortion from mids but nothing to pay to much attention to
-AUX inputs in front
SUMMARY
Overall this product is a pretty good for the price, and would recommend it to overs. haven't had a problem with it so far and i don't like buying RCA but i made an expiation in this case and glad i did.

I ordered the RCA RS2656 book shelf system for my 16yr. old son for christmas and the service was great. My order was in before the scheduled date and the merchandise was in one piece, considering the hectic schedule of the mail service. My son loves it, unfortunately for me he never uses the headphones I also ordered. As my son states,"the bass is awesome and the headphones don't have the bass the stereo has."

This stereo is awesome. I got it a couple of months ago and boy was I surprised.
I knocked a few things off my shelf because of the power of the subwoofer.
Its great sound for the price and I highly reccomend it
