Teac LP-U200 is a rare breed, at least these days. It's technically a stereo system. It's capable of spanning generations of music listeners, spanning over a century. It has a CD player and a radio - fairly common. It also has a 3-Speed turntable for playing those 20th-century vinyl recordings - that's rare. Then this system has a USB port and an SD card slot - that's very unique! Those let you take your LP recordings, CDs, and Radio and transfer them to SD memory cards or transfer them to your PC via USB to convert into MP3 or WMA music files.
The stand-alone system allows simple recording from LP to USB or SD Flash media. You can also record from the CD player or even from the AM/FM Tuner to capture and record your favorite audio tracks. With Auto/Manual track increment and a record level control, you have the flexibility to adjust the recording level and placement of the track increments. There is a 3-speed belt driven turntable with auto return that plays 33, 45 and 78 records. The built in CD player will play CD, and custom created CDR and CDRW media. The system comes complete with a PLL synthesized AM/FM Stereo tuner that enables you to record music or talk shows from the radio.

Same as LP-R400 but with SD/USB instead of CD recorder October 10, 2008

This is the same unit as the Teac LP-R400 but instead or recording directly to CD it records to USB or SD card. I find this to be much more useful than recording to CD because now I can record for hours at the time and bring it with me to the Gym or listen at work. It can record to MP3 at 96, 128 or 160 Bits but not to WMA as stated above. No big loss as I do not like WMA format but Amazon should correct their description of this unit. The sound is better than I had expected and perhaps the best sounding unit in this category. Recording is very easy but automatic tract split does not work all that well so you are better off doing it yourself manually. Overall a very nice product.
