5 out of 5 stars Amazing!   July 1, 2008
WOW...these speakers pack a punch. I had 2.0 speakers by Polk Audio and talk about an improvement! For 30$, you cant go wrong, these were amazing out of the box. Everything sounds amazing and I have a on-board sound card. Bass control, and the little remote are 2 more pluses. I will defiantly buy this product again.

5 out of 5 stars Little Speakers, Big Sound   June 21, 2008

Despite a few bad reviews, I decided to try these speakers out. These speakers are really cool looking and make a great first impression. I have to say, I was expecting them to sound like my music was playing out of a tin can, but they really proved me wrong. They actually do have a nice full sound. I also like that the on/off switch and main volume is easily accessible and I don't have to reach very far at all to adjust it. Another nice touch is the fact that there is a knob on the sub woofer to adjust the base. Most sets with a small sub woofer like this one don't have that. As for the sound of the sub woofer, I think that it is great, however this is the first pair of speakers that I have had with a sub woofer. I would say that these are an overall good pair of speakers, and I have already recommended them to a friend.

2 out of 5 stars These are toys; you can do better; I'm returning mine   June 13, 2008

Hi. Just got the Logitech LS21 2.1 Stereo Speaker System yesterday. I've had a great experience with Logitech [I use the Z340--old but amazing] and with Cyber Acoustics CA 3090 [which cost the same as these--great for jazz and classical, so-so for electronic and rock]. Both of those older models outperform The LS21s. The LS21s offer relatively little from the subwoofer compared to the other two sets I have. And what there is is unpleasant. So I tried many different configurations with these and many bass levels and EQs. In the end none were pleasant, I always wanted to turn the volume down, then turn it up.

There is a really good point to the LS21s [shared with the Cyber Acoustics]: They draw very little electricity. When idle, they only use 1 watt. That's really nice. Hope this helps. Bye.

1 out of 5 stars rated low because even logitech's website says it has an aux jack   June 12, 2008

I don't know how this set performs. I wanted to use it with my xbox 360, but I can't because it does not have an aux in jack. Despite what it says above and on Logitech's own website, it only has the 3.5mm plug to be plugged into the 'out' of a PC sound card.

I'm going to pick up a jack-to-jack coupler and give it a try. If that doesn't work, then I'll be returning this.

the female to female jack to jack coupler works. Got one for $2 from Fry's.

The sound is good. I'm no audiophile. It's a small room. But I have no complaints about the sound while using it with my 360.

5 out of 5 stars Good looking, well sounding speakers at a low cost   June 9, 2008
I wasn't satisfied with the sound of my laptop's built-in speakers, so I was looking for good-looking speakers at a low cost (student budget) that sound great and don't take up too much space. It's the first set of speakers I've ever bought for myself, and I really love them. So far, I have nothing to complain about. At first I thought I didn't quite like the sound of them, but then I noticed that this was due to the settings on my laptop. I definitely would buy them again.
