C265 Your Space The C265 in-ceiling speaker features a 6 -inch C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminum Magnesium) woofer and a 1-inch C-CAM gold dome pivoting tweeter. The C265 has the biggest woofer and the smallest footprint in its class, providing a more convincing full-range sound than rival offerings. Optimum imaging and set-up for the C265 is established through the pivoting tweeter (with 15-degrees of play in all directions), a front-mounted, high frequency level adjustment ( 3dB), and a boundary compensation control (on/off). Speaker placement near corners or wall and ceiling intersections can result in an unnatural boost of midrange frequencies. C265 in-ceiling speakers perform particularly well as stereo pairs in multi-room, distributed music applications where 180-degree dispersion for wide-sonic coverage is required. The C265 can also be used in high-performance home theater applications as front left-center-right and rear surrounds, or as rear surrounds in combination with Monitor Audio floorstanding, center, or bookshelf front left-center-right speakers. The C265 shares the same driver technology and is timbre-matched to all Gold and Silver speakers, so you can mix and match these solutions to suit your sonic and aesthetic goals. Monitor Audio in-wall and in-ceiling speakers are paint-able.
