These speakers provide a remarkably full sound and good dynamic range. I have these mounted on a pergola above my deck about 10' high; I would suggest not mounting them quite so high so as to get a more immediate sound; however, even at this height the omnidirectional speaker provides good coverage (I have it down-firing) and an enveloping sound field. Bass response is probably as good as you can expect in an outdoor speaker, and was better than I had hoped for. I have not rated this as 5-star only because these speakers seem to be a little overpriced. Although, f you're looking for some of the best outdoor speakers, I don't think you'll do better at any price point.
